SUNDAY LETTER
Good Morning
This is my Sunday Letter, written on Wednesday. Well, the election is over and California has (re) elected the youngest Governor (and now the oldest Governor in CA history.)
Jessie and Matt - Congratulations on wrapping up your student loans. That is a fantastic achievement.
I loved the pics -Mom and I were handing out candy in Dexter - the crowd was thin there this year - but I understand huge in GP.
While all of this has been going on I have been working away on several writing projects. One of them is an OP Ed on income disparities in the US. there has been a immense transfer of wealth to the most wealthy. there have been many comments on this process and I am adding one more. I will post it when I am done.
Additionally, I am working on a book on Calamity in the Corner Office (What happens when the CEO "goes bad" and takes the organization with him or her) and rewriting a book on Successful Community Organization and Leadership which was published in the middle 90s by the National Association of Social Workers.
Finally, I am working on an article on Customer Focused Companies with Ari W., one of the co founders of Zingermans.
On the home front, Mom and I spent most of Sunday "winterizing" our home - putting chairs away, etc. Winter is coming. It is cold today and there is snow predicted for Sunday. The NOAA winter forecast
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39813625
predicts a "wetter" winter for the MI region... that means more snow!
WEll, I am off for my morning walk
Love to all
Dad/John
